Contribution and Research Inspiration of Marx's Civilization View of Historical Materialism in The Kreuznach Notebooks
It is widely accepted by academia today that The German Ideology,co-authored by Marx and Engels from 1845 to 1846,marks the establishment of Marx's historical materialism.However,this fact is not sufficient to explain the necessity of its creation.The Kreuznach Notebooks by Marx in 1843 is the key to exploring its origin,has rich traces of human history research to fully demonstrate his long-term attention to the issues related to the development of human civilization,and allows us to fully glimpse the embryonic form of historical materialism—"the civilization view of historical materialism".In the original text of The Kreuznach Notebooks in MEGA2,we can find that Marx pushed forward the basic ideas of the view through three stages of examination.He adopted the methods of historical examination and cross note taking,commonly used in its later research,and ultimately outlined its philosophical path.In short,The Kreuznach Notebooks provides us with an important window to further understand the origin of Marx's historical materialism,and enables us to have a more comprehensive grasp of the development of Marx's thought.
