Reflections on the Improvements of Faculty Evaluation System in Local Universities Against the Background of Educational Evaluation Reform
Faculty evaluation is an important part of faculty development in universities,providing an important basis for talent recruitment and selection,professional title appraisal,position appointment and salary and compensation allocation.Therefore,establishing a scientific and reasonable faculty evaluation system in local universities is the key link to enhance the internal governance capability and also the core content of the educational evaluation reform.In this article the author reviews the current situation of the faculty evaluation in local universities against the background of the educational evaluation reform,analyzes the difficulties and common problems in practice from six aspects including evaluation orientation,evaluation subject,evaluation criteria,evaluation index system,evaluation method and cycle,feedback and application of evaluation results,and further explores the relationships among these factors.Moreover,the author also puts forward some ideas and suggestions on the improvements of faculty evaluation system in local universities.
