Analysis of the Strategic Importance and Urgency of the Development of Tropical Crop Science Discipline
On the basis of the history of establishment and development of the tropical crop science discipline,this paper analyzed the strategic importance of tropical crop science development in terms of the industrial raw material natural rubber domestic supply,food security and farmers'income increase,as well as food and nutrition security and poverty alleviation in tropical zones of the world.And it further explained that the development of the tropical crop science discipline in China was strategic and urgent to promote the development of global tropical crops and lead its scientific and technological innovation,so as to promote the status and influence of the development of the tropical crop science discipline.
