Analysis of Intercropping Model and Economic Benefit of Luzhou Longan Orchards after High Conversion
The survey was conducted on the current situation of intercropping in Luzhou longan orchards within 3 years after high conversion, and an economic benefit of 7 intercropping modes was analyzed. The results showed that the income of intercropping Chinese herbs in longan orchard was 3550 yuan/667 m2 in one season, which was the highest income;the income of intercropping spring eggplant and winter pea was 3150 yuan/667 m2 in one season, which was the second highest;and the income of pumpkin and vicia sativa was 105 yuan/667 m2 in one season, which was the lowest income. It was suggested that cooperatives or large growers with strong planting and marketing risk tolerance, knowledge of technology and sufficient labor force could interplant Chinese medicinal herbs and vegetable crops in the middle of longan orchards;on the contrary, grain and oil crops and green manure could be planted.
