Effect on the Growth and Yield by Soaking Cassava Cutting in the Solution of Chlorocholine Chloride
In order to optimize the technology of increasing yield by soaking cassava cutting(SCC)in the solution of Chlorocholine Chloride(CC),the effects of the SCC for 6 h and 12 h by different concentrations of CC on the cassava agronomic traits, yield and quality of storage root(SR)were investigated. The results showed that,in comparison with non-soaking,200.00 mg/L,300.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h and 100.00 mg/L SCC for 12 h significantly dwarfed the plant height,0.00~100.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h significantly increased the length of SR,and 300.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h and 200.00 mg/L SCC for 12 h significantly increased the diameter of SR,200.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h significantly increased the soluble sugar content of dried SR,and 200.00 mg/L and 300.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h significantly increased the starch content of dried SR.The best treatment was 300.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h,and it significantly increased the fresh yield of SR by 41.7%,the starch yield by 64.6%and harvest index by 10.5%.The sub-optimum treatments were 100.00~200.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h and 12 h,which significantly increased the fresh yield of SR and starch yield, and also increased the harvest index.Based on comprehensive analysis, the technology of 100.00~300.00 mg/L SCC for 6 h was recommended to increase the fresh yield of SR and starch yield.
