Research on the Experience,Challenges and Suggestions of Building an International Science and Technology Cooperation Platform of Tropical Agriculture——Take CATAS-CIAT Cooperation as an Example
The acceleration of economic globalization has facilitated the global integration of agricultural technology,making the international scientific and technological cooperation in agriculture a major developmental trend.The establishment of international science and technology cooperation platforms of agriculture serves as a crucial lever to foster such cooperation,playing a significant role in promoting economic development and enhancing overall national strength of various countries.Taking the cooperation between the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences(CATAS)and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture(CIAT)as an example,this article provided an overview of the establishment process,experiences and achievements of this cooperation platform.It also analyzed the challenges faced by building the international science and technology cooperation platform of tropical agriculture,aiming to offer strategic suggestions for achieving the sustainable development of the platform.
