Spatial and Temporal Evolution Characteristics of Tobacco-Planting Soil Acidification of Meizhou City over the Past 40 Years
In order to explore the spatiotemporal pH variation of subtropical tobacco-planting soil, based on the extensive soil data derived from the 1980s,the 2010s and the 2022a,the descriptive statistic, correlation analysis and spatial analysis were used to analyze the variability of pH levels in tobacco-planting soils in Meizhou City. The results showed that the coefficients of variation for tobacco-planting soils across three distinct periods were 14.94%,13.56%and 6.23%respectively,indicating a moderate degree of variability.A notable acidification trend was observed in tobacco-planting soils from the 1980s to the 2010s,with a subsequent alleviation in the areas of intense acidification from the 2010s to the 2022a survey. The soil types with the largest decrease in pH value were paddy soil and purple soil, and the overall acidification trend was mainly weak acidification.Spatial distribution analysis pinpointed that the regions of significant soil acidification were mainly concentrated in the less utilized planned tobacco fields in counties such as Wuhua and Pingyuan,as well as in the high-intensity tobacco-rice rotation areas. The rational fertilization method mainly focused on improving soil fertility, which led to the enrichment of soil organic matter and nutrient elements and induced soil acidification.
