Impact mechanism of public health emergencies on regional economic resilience and its response:Evidence from the COVID-19 in China
This paper is found that the impact of the service-orientation of the industrial structure may have an adverse effect on the resistance of the regional economy,but it can enhance the recovery of the regional economy.While regional industrial diversification can enhance the resistance and recovery of the regional economy,industrial specialization can lead to the opposite result.The impact of sudden public health incidents on the resilience of regional economies first manifests in the impact on the service industry,and with time,spreads to the manufacturing industry,but the recovery of resilience also begins first with the service industry.Hence,the paper proposes some policy recommendations.
