Digital leader:The impact mechanism of the digital sharing vision on the follower enterprise digital transformation
Drawing upon upper echelons theory and cognitive change literature,our research has formulated the impact mechanism of leader and follower enterprise digital sharing vision on the digital transformation of follower enterprises.In the preliminary study using secondary data,we found that the digital shared vision among leader and follower enterprises positively influences the digital transformation of follower enterprises.Subsequently,the formal study through surveys revealed that the digital shared vision not only reduces the differences in change commitment among the executive teams of follower enterprises but also enhances the intensity of their commitment to change,thereby facilitating digital transformation.Moreover,the collaborative approach between leader and follower enterprise(contract governance vs.relational governance)not only moderates the positive effects of the digital shared vision on the cognitive structure of executive teams but also moderates its impact mechanism on the digital transformation of enterprises.This study elucidates the leadership effect of leader enterprise within industrial chains during the digital transformation process and its operational mechanisms,providing guidance for leveraging China's industrial chain advantages and propelling the digital transformation of traditional manufacturing industries.
