The paper uses China Family Panel Studies(2010-2020),constructs a continuous health measure that is akin to a quality-adjusted life year, and thus estimate the intergenerational health mobility in China.First, the rank-rank slope in SRHS is 0.208,indicating a low degree of intergenerational transmission in health status, intergenerational health mobility among Chinese residents is high.Second, health inheritance is stronger between same-sex parents and children, with the highest associations from mothers to daughters.Third, intergenerational health mobility shows an increasing trend of change in the time dimension, and attenuation bias and life cycle bias distort the estimates of intergenerational health mobility to some extent.Fourth, based on the decomposition method of Gelbach(2016),we find that, mothers'health accounts for a large part of intergenerational mobility of health.Last, intergenerational welfare mobility in China is currently at a high level, the rank-rank slope in the welfare measure is 0.172.The above findings provide a policy reference for sustained and effective implementation of the Healthy China initiative.
