Standardization technical committee is an important platform for formulating technical standards and standardizing the development of the industry.Whether enterprises can effectively improve their innovation ability by participating in standardization technical committee and its influencing mechanism are worthy of in-depth study. This paper uses the differential propensity score matching(PSM-DID)method to analyze the influence of participation in the standardization technical committee on the technological innovation ability of enterprises from the perspectives of resource acquisition and signal transmission. The results show that participation in the standardization technical committee significantly improves the innovation output of enterprises, and this conclusion is still valid through a series of robustness tests. After further examination,it is found that the mechanism of participation in standardization technical committee affecting technological innovation is to promote enterprises'external cooperation and improve enterprises'business credit. In addition, compared with state-owned enterprises and low R&D intensive enterprises, participation in standardization technical committee has a stronger innovation incentive effect on private enterprises and high R&D intensive enterprises.By studying the innovation mechanism and consequences of enterprises'participation in standardization technical committee, this paper enriches the micro-empirical evidence of how enterprises'participation in formal standardization affects enterprises'technological innovation, and provides a reference for improving the organization system of professional standardization technology and optimizing enterprises'standardization innovation strategy.
