Why Do Leaders Enact Injustice?The Formation Mechanism of Leader Injustice Enactment
Leader injustice enactment is a behavioral manifestation of the leader's violation of the justice rules.The impact of leader injustice enactment on employees'psychology and behavior is substantial and cannot be overlooked.While existing research on organizational justice has extensively confirmed the severe implications of leader injustice enactment for organizations,there is a lack of systematic understanding of its antecedents.Drawing from theories such as moral justice,social exchange,attitude function,aggression,ego depletion,and self-concept maintenance,this article provides theoretical explanations for the formation of leader injustice enactment.It categorizes this into two fundamental modes:unconscious and conscious injustice enactment.Furthermore,from the authority perspective,based on information processing theory,this article outlines the information processing process of leader injustice enactment.It analyzes the differentiated formation mechanism of leader injustice enactment from the perspectives of automatic and systematic processing modes,thereby developing a formation mechanism model.This research helps to promote the theoretical construction of leader injustice enactment and provides practical guidance for managers to reduce leader injustice enactment.
