Situations and Function of Love:A theoretical Framework for the Study of Compassionate Love Behaviors in Organizations under Different Scenarios
Facing frequent crises and an uncertain economic situation,enterprises are increasingly realizing the significant role of compassionate love within the organization.Compassionate love encompasses alleviating human suffering and encouraging human prosperity.Organizational compassionate love is a series of actions centered around the welfare of its members,aimed at reducing employee suffering and promoting their holistic development.These actions foster an organizational emotional culture characterized by care,concern,compassion,and tenderness.This study,based on a review of concepts and theories,clarifies the differences and connections between compassionate love,empathy,and compassion,and elucidates the essential characteristics of compassionate love in organizations,providing a theoretical basis for further research.Addressing the current literature's varied portrayal and dispersed concepts of organizational compassionate love,this research innovatively proposes an integrated model of the situational functions of organizational compassionate love.It divides compassionate love behaviors in organizations into four types:assistance-type in crisis situations,and routine-type,preventive-type,and growth-type in daily situations.The study also examines the influencing factors,outcomes,and mechanisms of compassionate love behaviors in organizations,offering practical suggestions for the theoretical development of compassionate love and its application in business practices.
