The Impact of Individual-Team Mindfulness Matching on Employees' Relative Passion
Based on the person-group fit and social comparison theory, this paper explores the impact of individual-team mindfulness matching on employees'relative dualistic work passion, and the mediating role of relative employee trust in the above relationship. This study collected survey data from 126 teams and 864 employees and conducted polynomial regression and response surface analysis. The results show that:(1)the congruence between employee mindfulness and team mindfulness is positively related to relative harmonious passion and relative employee trust but it has no significant impact on relatively obsessive passion.(2)In the case of the match of employee mindfulness and team mindfulness, compared with"low employee mindfulness-low team mindfulness","high-high"leads to higher relative harmonious passion, relatively obsessive passion and relative employee trust. In the case of mismatch between employee mindfulness and team mindfulness, compared with"low-high","high-low"leads to higher relative harmonious passion, relatively obsessive passion and relative employee trust.(3)Relative employee trust can mediate the congruence of employee mindfulness and team mindfulness on relative harmonious passion and relatively obsessive passion.(4)Employee trust can moderate the interaction of employee mindfulness and team mindfulness on relative harmonious passion and relatively obsessive passion.Specifically, employee trust can enhance the positive effect of person-group mindfulness congruence on relative harmonious passion, the positive effect of"high-high"on relative harmonious passion and relatively obsessive passion, and the positive effect of"high-low"on relative harmonious passion. But it can weaken the positive effect of"high-low"on relatively obsessive passion.
