人工智能时代STEM大学生核心能力发展与教育对策:基于全国17个省区市32所高校抽样调查数据的实证分析

是否拥有充足的STEM知识与技能人才,成为各国在未来经济、医疗、能源、科技等领域保持领先地位和强大竞争力的关键.我国政府高度重视STEM人才的培养,STEM教育已提升至国家发展战略重要高度,究竟我国的STEM人才培养效果如何,能否满足人工智能时代对STEM学生能力提出的新需求是迫在眉睫需要回应的问题.本文基于17个省区市32所高校的抽样调查数据,从高校投入的关键要素入手,实证分析哪些教育要素可以显著提升人工智能时代STEM学生的核心能力.研究发现:(1)STEM学生能力发展存在趋同和"中部凹陷"并存的现象,学术优势居中的普通本科院校学生的各类能力增值得分均最低的;(2)AI的就业替代并不遵循传统的劳动力市场竞争法则,预估STEM学生的替代风险要高于非STEM学生,"双一流"高校学生要高于高职高专等院校.(3)尽管越难被AI替代的能力被高等教育解释的比例越低,但高校依然是型塑学生核心能力的主阵地,其中课程教学是院校影响型塑学生综合能力最为核心的实践要素,尤其是跨学科课程,对适应AI时代需求的高阶核心能力发展具有非常突出的贡献.建议高校要锚准人才培养定位,推进多学科交叉融合育人,引入倡导合作共赢和全程多元的学生评价制度,重构AI时代优秀人才的内涵.
Development of STEM College Students'Core Competence and Educational Countermeasures in the Era of AI
Having sufficient STEM knowledge and skilled talents becomes the key for countries to maintain a leading position and strong competitiveness in future economic,medical,energy,technology and other fields.The Chinese government attaches great importance to the cultivation of STEM talents,and STEM education has been elevated to an important level of national development strategy.What is the effectiveness of STEM talent cultivation in China,and whether it can meet the new demands for STEM students'abilities in the era of artificial intelligence,are urgent issues that need to be addressed.This article is based on sample survey data from 32 universities in 17 provinces,regions,and cities.Starting from the key elements invested by universities,it empirically analyzes which educational elements can significantly improve the core abilities of STEM students in the era of AI.The findings are as follows:(1)STEM students have a phenomenon of convergence and"central depression"in their ability development,and ordinary undergraduate students with academic advantages have the lowest value-added scores for various abilities;(2)The employment substitution of AI does not follow traditional labor market competition rules.It is estimated that STEM students have a higher substitution risk than non STEM students,and students from"Double First Class"universities are higher than those from vocational colleges and other institutions.(3)Although the proportion of abilities that are harder to be replaced by AI is lower explained by higher education,universities are still the main battlefield for shaping students'core abilities.Among them,curriculum teaching is the most core practical element that affects students'core competencies,especially interdisciplinary courses,which have a very outstanding contribution to the development of high-level core abilities.It is suggested that universities should anchor the positioning of talent cultivation,promote interdisciplinary and integrated education,introduce a student evaluation system that advocates cooperation and win-win results,and comprehensively diversify the entire process,and reconstruct the connotation of excellent talents in the AI era.
