A Literature Review and Prospect of Ethical Voice Research
Ethical voice is an act of expressing opposition to unethical issues in the workplace.After reviewing the relevant literature,this study expounds the definition and measurement scale of ethical voice,distinguishes the similarities and differences between ethical voice and other types of voice,and reviews the influencing factors,consequences and moderating effects of ethical voice.Human resource management,leadership style,organizational factors,team factors and personal factors affect ethical voice.Ethical voice has an impact on team performance,team behavior,leadership behavior and colleague behavior.Furthermore,the theoretical basis of ethical voice research is summarized,among which social cognitive theory is the most widely used.Finally,in view of the shortcomings of the existing research,the paper presents future research directions,including developing a localized measurement scale of ethical voice,improving the factors that influence ethical voice,expanding the impact of ethical voice,enriching the research on ethical voice as a moderating variable,and expanding the theoretical basis of the research on ethical voice.This study can provide valuable reference for domestic scholars to grasp the latest progress,context and future direction of the research on ethical voice.
