The Impact of Job Demands and Resources on Idea Implementation:Evidence from a Meta-analysis
Based on the job demand-resource model,this study aims to explore the relationship between job resources(personal,leadership,and organizational resources),challenge job demands,hindrance job demands and idea implementation.Through literature search,screening,and coding,meta-analysis was conducted on 21775 independent samples from 36 articles.The meta-analysis results showed that:(1)Personal resources,leadership resources,organizational resources are significantly positively correlated with idea implementation,hindrance job demands are significantly negatively correlated with idea implementation,while challenge job demands are negatively correlated with idea implementation but not significant;(2)The impact of job resources on idea implementation is significantly greater than that of hindrance job demands,and the impact of hindrance job demands on idea implementation is significantly greater than that of challenge job demands;(3)Countries and regions significantly moderate the relationship between leadership resources and idea implementation,while age significantly moderates the relationship between personal resources,organizational resources and idea implementation.Based on the above research results,this meta-analysis has certain reference significance for future research on idea implementation,providing some thinking and inspiration for organizational managers'innovative management practices.
