Ambidextrous innovation is the key competitiveness of enterprises to cope with environmental uncertainty,and sustainability-oriented human resource practice is an important organizational mechanism to promote the formation of ambidextrous innovation ability.Based on the theory of dynamic capability,this study explores the role of strategic flexibility and environmental uncertainty in the impact of sustainability-oriented human resource practices on ambidextrous innovation.Through the empirical analysis of the questionnaire data of 206 Chinese enterprises,the results show that sustainability-oriented human resource practices have a significant positive impact on ambidextrous innovation.At the same time,strategic flexibility plays a mediating role between sustainability-oriented human resource practices and ambidextrous innovation,while environmental uncertainty moderates the relationship between strategic flexibility and ambidextrous innovation.These findings provide valuable theoretical perspectives and practical implications for understanding how enterprises can achieve ambidextrous innovation through effective human resource management in an uncertain environment.
