Employment Stability Effect of Occupational Injury Protection for Workers in New Business Forms
Strengthening the protection of the rights of workers in new business forms and promoting their employment stability are important parts of employment and social security policies in China now.This study uses binary Logistic regression analysis to investigate the effect of government occupational injury protection pilot policies in promoting the stability of employment of workers in new business forms.The findings reveal that the government's occupational injury protection pilot policies has indeed promoted the employment stability of workers in new business forms;the employment stability psychological perception and intention-to-stay of workers in new business forms in pilot areas are significantly higher than those of workers in non-pilot areas;the government's occupational injury protection policies is recognized by workers in new business forms;however,the understanding of government occupational injury protection policies needs to be improved;in addition,some occupational and individual factors also significantly affect the employment stability of workers in new business forms.Therefore,the study suggests to expand the coverage of government occupational injury protection policies from pilot areas to non-pilot areas;strengthen the publicity of government occupational injury protection policies;enterprises should take multiple measures to promote the employment stability of workers in new business forms.
