Based on mice feeding to evaluate whey-vinegar role on improving immunological functions
An animal laboratory study was conducted to see if whey-vinegar could be evaluated to improve the immune function of human body.320 male mice with average 20 g BW were to be investigated. From them 40 mice were taken out randomly as one batch-feeding-test each time and divided into 4 groups(10 mice per group):3 as treatment groups and 1 as control group. The lab made whey-vinegar with total acidity 5.52 g/100 mL was diluted into high-,mid-,and low-concentration dosage groups to administrate mice each orally in treatment groups with dosage of 10 mL/kg BW,once a day and for 30 days duration for one batch-feeding-test.Mice in control group were fed with the same volume of normal saline simultaneously. The targets of immunological indicators in this research were set with eight items:a.immune organs weights changes and weight ratios of thymus to body and spleen to body,b.delayed hypersensitivity,c.lymphocyte transformation,d.antibody-forming cells,e.serum hemolysin,f.phagocytosis functions of monocyte macrophages,g.carbon clearance,h.natural killer cell activity. After ending of the each batch-feeding-test the mice were executed for anatomical samplings targeted to determine one item of immunological indicators listed above. The eight immunologi-cal indicators were determined by conducting eight times of batch-feeding-test.The results have shown:values of immunological indicators of mice groups fed by high-and mid-concentration dosage groups have shown notable enhancements in all eight items except item d.and item e.,compared with those in control groups(P<0.05),and marked with(+).In terms of whey-vinegar having significant positive roles on immune or-gans weight adding, immune cells functioning, phagocytosis functioning of monocyte macrophage, and natural killer cell activity of mice.It is eval-uated that whey-vinegar has the property of improving human body immunity significantly.
