Milk fat globule membrane(MFGM),which has multiple physiological functions,is an important raw material for infant formula.MFGM has functions such as supporting brain development, preventing pathogens from adhering to intestinal epithelial cells, and improving host immunity. In addition,MFGM and human milk flora actively cooperate with the intestinal mucosal barrier and play an important role in establishing a healthy flora in the infant intestine. The composition of MFGM,its role in infant formulas, and its effects on intestinal microorganisms are reviewed in this paper. The effects of MFGM on intestinal microbes being obtained by researchers in recent years using clinical studies, animal experiments, and in vitro simulation studies are also summarized in detail.Furthermore, suggestions for future research on the regulation of intestinal microbes by MFGM are proposed.
