Effect of compound probiotic sour mare milk on memory function and intestinal flora in AD rats
Seventy-two SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, positive control group(Ganoderma capsules),and high, medium and low dose groups of probiotic yogurt and established AD rat model. The rats were gavaged for 60 days and the faeces were col-lected for 16S rRNA sequencing;the behavioural changes of the rats and the morphological changes of neurons in the hippocampal CA1 area were examined. The expression of BDNF protein in the hippocampal region of the rat brain was measured;the concentrations of serum 5-hydrox-ytryptamine,γ-aminobutyric acid,interleukin-1β,interleukin-18 and tumour necrosis factor-α were measured.Compared with the model group, the positive control group and the high dose group of probiotic yogurt had significantly more effective area entry, shorter escape latency and increased percentage of retention time in the quadrant where the original plateau was located;the degree of neuronal cell damage was lower in the positive control group and each dose group of probiotic yogurt than the model group;compared with the model group, the hippocampal area of AD rats in the positive control group and the high dose group of probiotic yogurt the BDNF protein and serum 5-HT and GABA levels were sig-nificantly increased, and IL-1β,IL-18 and TNF-α were significantly decreased in the positive control group and the high dose group of probiotic yogurt.Probiotic complex yoghurt had a positive effect on learning and memory in the hippocampus.
