Effect of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CCFM8661 on immune function and intestinal flora in mice
This study investigated the regulatory effects of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CCFM8661 on immune function and intestinal microbiota in cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppressed mice.Sixty BALB/c mice were randomly divided into 5 groups:blank control, model control,low-dose CCFM8661(2×106 CFU),medium-dose CCFM8661(2×107 CFU),and high-dose CCFM8661(2×108 CFU).The mice were treat-ed for 30 days, and immune function was evaluated by measuring thymus index, hemolysis plaque assay, spleen index, splenic lymphocyte prolifer-ation,paw swelling degree, half hemolysis value, phagocytic capacity of liver and spleen macrophages, phagocytic rate of peritoneal macrophages,NK cell activity,T lymphocyte subsets, and intestinal microbiota. The results showed that Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CCFM8661 significantly en-hanced immune function in mice and regulated the intestinal microbiota. It was concluded that Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CCFM8661 has a signifi-cant immune-enhancing effect, providing a theoretical basis for the development of immune-modulating health foods.
