Chlamydia trachomatis ,an obligate intracellular parasite with a unique developmental cycle, causes various dis-eases,such as urinary and reproductive tract infections, and lymphogranuloma venereum.Non-coding RNA(ncRNAs),RNA molecules that cannot encode proteins, have numerous functions, including important regulatory roles in biological processes such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, signal transduction, and immune regulation.C.trachomatis infection has been found to cause differential expression of host ncRNA and to regulate the infection process. However, the exact mechanisms of ncRNAs in C.trachomatis infection remain unclear. This article provides a brief review of the roles of ncRNAs in C.trachomatis infec-tion.
