Research Progress on the Effects of Rumen-Protected Methionine Supplementation during Peripartal Period on Production Performance and Immunity of Dairy Cows
The peripartal period is a critical period in the production cycle of dairy cows.At this stage,the body of dairy cows is prone to problems such as negative energy balance and low immunity.Methionine is a restrictive essential amino acid in the body of dairy cows.It not only plays a role in nutritional regulation,but also regulates the reproductive capacity,immunity and growth performance of dairy cows.In this paper,the research progress of the effects of rumen protected methionine supplementation on the production performance and immunity of dairy cows during perinatal period was reviewed,in order to provide a theoretical reference for the scientific application of rumen-protected methionine products in dairy cows during peripartal period.
