Research Progress on the Regulation of Negative Energy Balance during the Perinatal Period by Rumen Microbiota in Cows
The perinatal period is the most critical period in the production cycle of cows.Cows in the perinatal period not only make their bodies prone to problems such as negative energy balance and weakened immunity, but also have relatively high nutritional requirements for their diets. To prevent metabolic disorders and negative energy balance in cows during the perinatal period, this paper reviewed the research progress of rumen microbiota in cows on the regulation of negative energy balance in the perinatal period from four aspects:composition of rumen microbiota in cows, relationship between rumen microbiota and negative energy balance in cows, relationship between rumen microbiota and production performance in cows, and reshaping of rumen microbiota in cows on the regulation of negative energy balance to provide theoretical reference for the study of energy regulation in perinatal cows.
