Analysis of the Correlation between the Somatic Cell Count and Components in Raw Milk of Dairy Goats
[Objective]To explore the changes of somatic cell count and the content of components in milk of dairy goats, and to analyze the correlation.[Method]One hundred and twenty dairy goats from six dairy goat farms in Shandong Province were selected for observation, and their raw milk samples were taken to detect the somatic cell count, the contents of milk fat, milk protein, lactose, total solids and acidity, and the milk production were recorded.[Result]Somatic cell count, the contents ofmilk fat, milk protein, lactose, total solids and acidity varied considerably among different dairy goat farms.Correlation analysis showed that somatic cell count in goat milk was significantly positively correlated with milk protein content(P<0.05),with a correlation coefficient of 0.917 3.Acidity was significantly positively correlated with milk fat content(P<0.05),with a correlation coefficient of 0.8627.Lactose content was significantly inversely correlated with milk protein(P<0.05),with a correlation coefficient of 0.726 3.[Conclusion]Somatic cell count and the contents of milk fat, milk protein, total solids, total solids, and total solids of dairy goats in different dairy farms differed significantly. The contents of milk fat, milk protein, total solids and acidity were positively correlated and negatively correlated with lactosecontent.
