Research Progress on the Detection of Pantothenic Acid and Biotin in Infant Formula Milk Powder
Pantothenic acid and biotin,as key nutritional fortifiers in infant formula milk powder, are essential to ensure the healthy growth of infant and young children. In this study,we reviewed several commonly used detection techniques for the analysis of pantothenic acid and biotin in infant formula milk powder, including high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),fluorescence immunoassay, surface plasmon resonance(SPR) technology, and microbial method. This paper elaborated on the working principles, applicability, advantages, and limitations of these methods, and made a comprehensive comparison and summary. In addition, this paper reviewed the current research progress in the field of pantothenic acid and biotin detection in infant formula milk powder.
