The Theory Logic,Difficulties and Countermeasures of Applying Cultivation Theory in University Curricula Ideology and Politics Education
The university curricula ideology and politics education is a long-term systematic project with the ultimate goal of cultivating and shaping the correct"three perspectives"of contemporary university students.From the perspective of communication studies,education itself is the process of educational information dissemination.As a special type of educational information with special attributes,the mechanism of university curricula ideology and politics education acting on students is logically appropriate for the formation of popular values through the subtle influence of the mass media explained by Gerbera's"Cultivation Theory".The ideological and political cultivation of the curricula refers to the use of certain teaching information dissemination skills and means by teachers to improve the educational effect of the ideological and political links,elements,and contents on students,gradually achieving the role of cultivation.Through a detailed analysis of internal and external related factors,it is found that universities face many difficulties in carrying out curricula ideology and politics education.At the level of subject,the foundation of teachers and students themselves is weak.At the level of direction,there is significant interference between internal and external information.At the level of intensity,there are few teaching methods and techniques.It is suggested to deeply analyze the"Cultivation Theory"and its important derivative concepts of"mainstream"and"resonance",and innovatively apply them into the process of curricula ideology and politics education,propose a"three-dimensional and second-order"path strategy to promote curricula ideological and political cultivation,focusing on improving the effectiveness of information dissemination.We can focus on updating and enhancing the cognition and literacy of teachers and students from the subject level,building and forming a content framework and guidance from the direction level,and adjusting the information transmission channel,the frequency and effectiveness from the intensity level.
