The Influence of Artificial Intelligent Technology and Employees'Conscientiousness on Task Performance in Workplace
With the rapid iteration and application of intelligent technology,human-machine relationship has become a hot spot in the society.Based on artificial intelligent technology and employees'responsibility,whether intelligent technology and employees'responsibility can cooperate to improve employees'task performance is investigated.Based on the previous literature,a pair of competing hypotheses are proposed:Based on the role theory,the interaction between artificial intelligent technology and employees'conscientiousness positively affects task performance;Based on the complementarity theory,the interaction between artificial intelligent technology and employees'conscientiousness interact negatively with task performance.Further,the mediating function of human-machine relationship in the interaction between intelligent technology and employees'conscientiousness on task performance is discussed.The empirical analysis of 415 questionnaires finds that both artificial intelligent technology and employee conscientiousness have a positive impact on task performance,and the interaction between artificial intelligent technology and employees'conscientiousness in the younger group have a positive impact on task performance,while,in the older group,it has a negative impact on task performance.The human-machine relationship mediates the influence of the interaction between artificial intelligent technology and employees'conscientiousness on task performance.Therefore,organizations should take a correct view of the use of artificial intelligent technology in the workplace,help employees cultivate intelligent literacy,and maximize the technology empowerment effect brought by the use of intelligent technology to employees.
