As a new form of business capital in the digital age, platform capital has greatly facilitated the circulation of goods, services, and currencies through digital and network technologies, thereby enhancing economic efficiency. However,it also brings negative effects such as monopolies. In academia, the dual nature of platform capital has often been examined from only one perspective, focusing either on its role in productive forces or its role in relations of production. To avoid this"theoretical fragmentation",this paper explores platform capital dualism from the perspective of Marx's theory of capital dualism.Building upon Marx's concept of the great productivity of social total capital and clarifying the dual nature of commercial capital, the paper argues for the dualism of platform capital:utilizing digital productivity advancements as a means to profit, thereby establishing a theoretical basis for regulating and guiding the healthy development of platform capital.
