Research on the International Competitiveness of High-level Talents in Chinese Universities
Talents constitute the fundamental and strategic pillar in achieving China's modernization.Enhancing the international competitiveness of high-level talents in Chinese universities in the new era is crucial for building a strong nation through talent development and realizing national rejuvenation. This paper employs a literature review method to clarify relevant concepts and studies indicators related to talents from four influential global university evaluation systems, closely aligning them with China's actual circumstances.By combining qualitative and quantitative approaches,we construct a"Five Forces"framework that reflects the distinctive features of China's discourse system for evaluating the international competitiveness of high-level talents in universities. The"Five Forces"framework encompasses five key dimensions:"Foundational Force"reflected in education and teaching,"Developmental Force"represented in scientific research,"Radiating Force"demonstrated in social services,"Fundamental Force"manifested in innovation, and"Leading Force"revealed in internationalization.Based on an international comparative analysis with the"Five Forces"framework, this paper offers comprehensive reflections on strategic pathways for enhancing the international competitiveness of high-level talents in Chinese universities.
