Antioxidant activity of diferent macroporous resin elution fractions from kochia scoparia.in vitro
Objective To investigate the antioxidant activity of diferent ethanol elution fractions on macroporous resin from Kochia scoparia.in vitro. Methods 70% ethanol extract from Kochia Scoparia.was further isolated and purified by AB-8 macroporous resin into the five elution fractions(DFZ1, DFZ2, DFZ3, DFZ4, DFZ5),then the total flavonoids of diferent elution fractions were determined by ultraviolet spectrophtometry. The scavenging rate of the five elution fractions to superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl radical and reducing power were determined. Results The total flavonoids contents of DFZ1, DFZ2, DFZ3, DFZ4 and DFZ5 reached(0.82±0.02)%,(8.09±0.66)%,(10.31±0.73)%,(2.73±0.09)%,(1.88±0.06)% respectively. The total antioxidant activity increased with the increasing concentration of total flavonoids. Conclusion From the results it could be concluded that the five elution fractions from Kochia Scoparia had strong antioxidant capacityin vitro.
