Objective To investigate the clinical effect of docetaxel and capecitabine combined with psychological intervention after radical mastectomy for breast cancer. Methods A total of 94 patients with chemotherapy for radical mastectomy from February 2011 to August 2012 were selected as the subjects of this study. They were randomly divided into study group and control group by single and double numbers (admission order) Group, 47 patients in each group. Two groups of patients with breast cancer underwent radical mastectomy, and postoperative docetaxel and capecitabine chemotherapy were performed. The control group received only routine nursing measures after the chemotherapy, and the study group was given psychological intervention on the basis of the control group. Results The overall survival, progression free survival end point event survival rate in the study group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). During chemotherapy, the incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was significantly less than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion After the radical mastectomy, the combination of docetaxel and capecitabine combined with chemotherapy, routine care and psychological intervention can significantly improve the medium-term efficacy and reduce the adverse reactions associated with chemotherapy.
