Evaluation of the efficacy of Kanglaite combined with intensity modulated radiotherapy in elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Kanglaite combined with intensity modulated radiotherapy in the treatment of elderly non-small cell lung cancer. Methods 68 patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) from March 2014 to March 2016 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group (n=34) was treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy. The observation group (n=34) based on the control group plus Kanglaite, compared the two groups of recent efficacy, quality of life improvement and adverse reactions. Results There was no significant difference of RR between the two groups. There was no significant difference of SF-36 between the two groups before treatment, SF-36 of observation group was significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The SF-36 of two groups after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05). The levels of WBC, neutrophils in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusion Kanglaite combined with intensity modulated radiotherapy for elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer clinical results are excellent, worthy of promotion.
