Clinical study of proton pump inhibitor in the treatment of leukopenia caused by peptic ulcer
Objective To analyze the effect of peptic ulcer on the white blood cell (WBC) count and to investigate the effect of proton pump inhibitors on this condition. Methods The patients with peptic ulcer in the study group and healthy people in the control group were given the WBC count, the WBC count of the patients in the study group were tested again after the clinical symptomatic treatment was completed. The results of WBC the study group before and after treatment were recorded, the data were input into the SPSS software to give the corresponding analysis and draw conclusions. Results The WBC count of the peptic ulcer patients in the study group was significantly lower than that of the healthy people in the control group (P<0.05); the WBC count of the study group after peptic ulcer treatment was increased significantly compared with before treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion Peptic ulcer has a certain effect on the WBC count, and the application of proton pump inhibitors could improve the condition of patients with peptic ulcer, and was conducive to improve the level of WBC count.
