The feeding experiment on four Asian elephant in Shi jiahzhuang Zoo sifted the grass which animal like to eat,and researched the influence of forage utilization rate on captive Asian elephant from different feeding methods and different feeding times.Mexican corn,Sudan grass,Gaudan grass and Smooth bromegrass were selected as the experimental forage for the experiment,the experiment sifted Gaudan as the grass which Asian elephant like to eat by comparing the feed intake of animals on different forage varieties and camparied animal feed intake from different feeding times,the results indicate that animal feed intake increase from increasing feeding frequency.
