Comparison of growth curve fitting and meat performance between commercial duck of Wuqin 10 meat duck synthetic line and Liancheng white duck
In order to study the growth and development law of the commercial duck of Wuqin 10 meat duck synthetic line,the body weight and slaughter index 0~9 weeks old were measured,the parent Liancheng white duck as control.Non-linear models including Logistic,Gompertz and Bertalanffy were applied to fit and analyze the growth curve of 0~9 weeks of age.The results showed that:(1)The growth curves could be fitted using the three models with fitting degrees above 0.98.Among them,the Gompertz model of the commercial duck was the best(male R2=0.999,female R2=0.997)and the Bertalanffy model of Liancheng white duck was the best(male R2=0.995,female R2=0.993);(2)In the fitting curve of the Gompertz model of the commercial duck,the growth inflection point was at 3.9 week of age for male ducks and 4.1 week of age for female ducks,the inflection body weight were 849.9 g and 810.7 g,maximum body weight gain per week were 294.9 g and 268.3 g respectively.In the fitting curve of the Bertalanffy model of Liancheng white duck,the growth inflection point was at 4.6 week of age for male ducks and 5.7 week of age for female ducks,the inflection body weight were 528 g and 601 g,maximum body weight gain per week were 135 g and 126 g respectively.(3)The slaughter results showed that the live weight of Wuqin 10 meat duck increased by 80.90%,the percentage of eviscerated yield increased by 2.97%,the percentage of lean meat yield increased by 20.31%(P<0.05),respectively,compared with Liancheng white duck.(4)The meat quality test results showed that the protein content of Wuqin 10 meat duck increased by 4.15%,the intramuscular fat content increased by 21.55%(P<0.05).The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for verifying the breeding effect of Wuqin 10 meat duck synthetic line and the feeding management of commercial ducks.
