Effects of Poria cocos extract on growth performance and immune function in rabbits
This study aims to investigate the effects of Poria cocos extract on the growth performance and immune function of rabbits.The experiment adopts a single factor randomized trial design,randomly selecting 100 healthy and similar weight 30 day old weaned rabbits,and dividing them into 4 groups randomly,with 5 replicates in each group,and 5 rabbits in each replicate.Experiment groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ added 0.5,1.0,and 2.0 g of Poria cocos polysaccharides per kilogram of basal diet,with conversion ratios of 0.05%,0.1%,and 0.2%,respectively.The pre feeding period is 7 days,and the trial period is 42 days.The results showed that the average daily weight gain of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the feed to weight ratio was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The average daily weight gain of the experimental groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ increased significantly by 1.79,1.56,and 0.77 g/d compared to the control group,respectively(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the experimental group had IgA and IgG significant increase in content(P<0.05),TNF-α The content significantly decreased(P<0.05);The IL-6 content in experimental groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),while the IL-10 content in experimental groups was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).In summary,adding Poria cocos polysaccharides can increase the average daily weight gain of rabbits,reduce the feed to weight ratio,and improve the body's immune level.Under the conditions of this experiment,the appropriate level of Poria cocos polysaccharides added to rabbits is 0.1%.
