The effect of fermented rapeseed meal replacing soybean meal in diets on the growth performance, apparent digestibility, and slaughtering performance of beef cattle
To analyze the effects of fermented rapeseed meal(FRM)replacing soybean meal in feed on the growth performance, apparent digestibility, and slaughter performance of beef cattle.Sixty healthy Simmental beef cattle of similar age and weight were selected for the experiment and randomly divided into three groups, with four replicates in each group and five in each replicate. The control group was allocated a full mixed diet based on the nutritional requirements(NRC)of beef cattle,Protein feed consists of 50%soybean meal +50%fermented rapeseed meal,0%soybean meal +100%fermented rapeseed meal(iso-nitrogen)and were recorded as FRM50 and FRM100 groups. The pre trial period of the experiment is 7 days, and the trial period is 90 days. The results showed that:(1)The control group and FRM50 group had significantly higher final weight and average daily gain compared to the FRM100 group(P<0.05).(2)Compared with FRM100 group, the digestibility of crude protein and crude fat of beef cattle in control group and FRM50 group were significantly increased(P<0.05).(3)The live weight before slaughter of beef cattle in the control group and FRM50 group was significantly higher than that in the FRM100 group(P<0.05).In summary, under the condition of isonitrogen substitution,50%soybean meal +50%fermented rapeseed meal is used as protein feed It can improve the growth performance, apparent digestibility and slaughter performance of beef cattle.
