Optimization of extraction process of proanthocyanidins from Choerospondias axillaris leaves and evaluation of antioxidative activity
The proanthocyanidins of Choerospondias axillaris leaves were extracted by ultrasonic-assisted extraction with acetone as solvent. The effects of extraction time,solid-liquid ratio, temperature and acetone concentration on the yield of proanthocyanidins in of Choerospondias axillaris leaves were investigated, and the extraction process of proanthocyanidins was optimized by orthogonal experiment. Finally, the antioxidant capacity of proanthocyanidins from Choerospondias axillaris leaves was determined. The results showed that the optimum extraction process was ultrasonic time 8 min,solid-liquid ratio 1∶25,temperature 45 ℃,acetone volume fraction 0.7.Under the condition, the yield of proanthocyanidins reached 16.85 mg/g.The proanthocyanidins of Choerospondias axillaris leaves had certain antioxidant activity, and their IC50 to DPPH and OH free radicals were 0.83 mg/mL and 1.50 mg/mL,respectively.
