Selection of suitable forage oat varieties in Jinta area of Gansu province
In order to screen out the best forage oat varieties suitable for planting in Jinta area,Gansu province, the growth performance and nutritional quality of seven oat varieties were measured, and the adaptability of different oat varieties was evaluated by principal component analysis and membership function method. The results showed that except Aiwo, the other 6 varieties entered the later stage of grouting 90 days after sowing. There were significant differences in the evaluation indexes among different varieties, and there were different degrees of correlation among the indexes, among which:the highest plant height of Helios was 139.87 cm;the stem diameter to leaf stem ratio of Aiwo was the highest,5.51 mm and 0.64,respectively;the tillering number of Monica was 4.27 at most;the highest hay yield of Yanwang was 8974.93 kg/hm2,and the lowest crude ash content was 9.33%DM;the crude protein content and relative feeding value of Caesar were the highest(13.59%DM and 118.11%DM),and the sexual detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber were the lowest(50.91%DM and 31.14%DM),respectively.Principal component analysis of 14 indexes of 7 oat varieties showed that the cumulative contribution rate of the first four principal component factors reached 94.75%,and acid detergent fiber, tillering number, plant height and ash content could be used as comprehensive evaluation indexes.According to the comprehensive evaluation, the comprehensive performance of Helios and Yanwang was better, which could be used as excellent oat varieties in Jinta area to popularize planting in production.
