Effects of replacement of fish meal with yeast culture on growth performance, serum biochemistry, body composition, antioxidant capacity and immunity of yellow catfish(Pelteobagurs fulvidraco)
The experiment aimed to verify the effects of replacement of fish meal with yeast culture(LYF)on growth performance, serum biochemistry, body composition, antioxidant capacity and immunity of yellow catfish(Pelteobagurs fulvidraco).600 yellow catfish with an initial weight of(25.00±0.15)g were randomly divided into 2 groups, each with 3 replicates and 100 fish per replicate. The control group(CK)was fed with basic feed, and yeast culture was added in a 1:1 ratio to replace fish meal as the experimental feed. After 42 days of feeding, samples were collected and analyzed. The results showed that compared with the control group,LYF significantly increased the relative attraction rate(P<0.05),increasing by 10.43%.LYF could increase the growth rate and specific growth rate, reduce the feed coefficient, and promote the growth to a certain extent.LYF had no significant effect on the overall body composition(P>0.05).LYF significantly reduced serum aspartate aminotransferase(AST)(P<0.05),with a decrease of 25.73%.LYF significantly reduced the serum malondialdehyde(MDA)content(P<0.05)by 71.80%.The activities of lysozyme(LZM)and alkaline phosphatase(AKP)in the serum of LYF were significantly increased(P<0.05),with an increase of 61.22%and 65.63%,respectively.In conclusion,it LYF could replacement of fish meal with 1:1 ratio without negative affecting the growth performance, liver health and body composition of yellow catfish(Pelteobagurs fulvidraco). It could also improve the antioxidant capacity and immunity of yellow catfish(pelteobagurs fulvidraco).
