Effects of processed by-products of agricultural products on growth performance, nutrient apparent digestibility and serum biochemical indices of finishing Hu sheep
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of total mixed diet granules made from processed by-products of agricultural products on growth performance, nutrient apparent digestibility and serum biochemical indices of fattening Hu sheep. In this experiment,80 well-developed fattening Hu sheep with body weight of(27.73±0.22)kg were randomly divided into 2 groups with 40 sheep in each group.Quarantine and deworming were carried out on Hu sheep before the experiment. The fattening Hu sheep in the control group were fed conventional raw materials plus peanut rattan, and the experimental group were fed total mixed unconventional pellet feed supplemented with peanut rattan. The pre-feeding period lasted for 7 days and the test period lasted for 30 days, during which the feeding was carried out at 7:30 and 14:30 every day.The experimental sheep were free to feed and drink. The results showed as follows:(1)Compared with the control group, the final weight of experimental group was increased by 6.33%(P<0.001),and the average daily gain(ADG)of experimental group was increased by 40%(P<0.001);According to feed intake data, total dry matter intake(TDMI)of experimental group was increased by 14.04%compared with control group(P<0.001),and coarse feed intake had no significant difference, while particle feed intake of experimental group was increased by 14.85%compared with control group(P<0.001).The ratio of feed to gain(F/G)was decreased by 18.55%(P<0.001);Compared with the control group, the feed cost of the experimental group was reduced by 22.31%(P<0.001),the daily income of the experimental group was increased by 39.66%(P<0.001),and the gross profit of the experimental group was increased by 2.5 yuan/(head·d)(P<0.001);(2)Compared with the control group, the dry matter digestibility of experimental group was increased by 4.76%,the difference was extremely significant(P<0.05),the digestibility of crude protein(CP),neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber(ADF)of experimental group was higher than that of control group, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05);(3)The total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),globulin(GLOB)and glucose(GLU)in experimental groups were higher than those in control group, but the difference was not significant(P>0.05),and the total cholesterol(TC)in experimental groups was decreased by 27.67%,and the difference was extremely significant(P<0.01).The contents of triglyceride(TG)and urea in experimental groups were lower than those in control group, but the differences were not significant(P>0.05).The content of immunoglobulin A(IgA)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)in serum of experimental groups was increased by 12.73%and 6.82%,respectively,with significant differences(P<0.01).The immunoglobulin M(IgM)content was increased by 3.9%,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).In conclusion, the use of agricultural product processing by-products to make full mixed ration granules could effectively improve the growth performance and health status of fattening Hu sheep, which was suitable for large-scale sheep farms to promote.
