The effects of different levels of acanthopanax senticosus polysaccharides in the diet on the growth performance,immune function,and antioxidant capacity of fattening pigs
To investigate the effects of different levels of Acanthopanax Senticosus Polysaccharides(ASPS)in the diet on the growth performance,immune function,and antioxidant capacity of fattening pigs.84 fattening pigs with similar initial weights were selected and randomly divided into 4 groups.Each group of fattening pigs was fed with basic diet+0%,0.1%,0.2%,and 0.3%of Acanthopanax senticosus polysaccharides,and were recorded as ASPS0 group,ASPS1 group,ASPS2 group,and ASPS3 group.Each group had 3 replicates,with 7 pigs per replicate.The experimental period is 40 days.The results showed that:1)Compared with the ASPS0 group,the average daily weight gain of fattening pigs in the ASPS1 and ASPS2 groups significantly increased by 8.09%and 7.38%(P<0.05),and the feed to weight ratio significantly decreased by 10.56%and 9.24%(P<0.05);2)Compared with the ASPS0 group,the ASPS1 group,ASPS2 group,and ASPS3 group significantly increased the levels of immunoglobulin A and interleukin-10 in the serum of fattening pigs(P<0.05),and the ASPS1 group also showed a significant increase in tumor necrosis factor in the serum of fattening pigs-α The content significantly decreased(P<0.05),while the serum immunoglobulin M content in the ASPS2 group of fattening pigs significantly increased(P<0.05);3)Compared with the ASPS0 group,the ASPS1 group,ASPS2 group,and ASPS3 group showed a significant increase in serum superoxide dismutase activity(P<0.05)and a significant decrease in malondialdehyde content(P<0.05)in fattening pigs.Additionally,the ASPS2 group and ASPS3 group showed a significant increase in serum total antioxidant capacity(P<0.05).From this,it can be seen that adding appropriate levels of acanthopanax polysaccharides to the diet can improve the growth performance and immune function of fattening pigs,and improve the body's antioxidant capacity.Under the conditions of this experiment,the appropriate level of adding polysaccharides from Acanthopanax senticosus is 0.1%~0.2%.
