Effects of compound lactic acid bacteria on growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and slaughtering performance of fattening sheep
In order to study the effects of composite lactic acid bacteria on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and slaughter performance of fattening sheep,120 healthy and disease-free fattening period small tailed Han sheep with similar initial weight[(33.16±2.53)kg]were selected for the experiment,Which were randomly divide into 4 groups with 3 replicates per group, with 10 replicates per replicate. Each group of fattening sheep was fed with a basic diet supplemented 0,50,100,and 150 g/t of composite lactic acid bacteria, and the experiment lasted for 60 days. The results showed that:(1)The body weight and 31~60 day average daily gain of fattening sheep in the 100,150 g/t composite lactic acid bacteria group were significantly higher than those in the 0g/t composite lactic acid bacteria group(P<0.05).The feed to weight ratio,31~60 day feed to weight ratio, and 1~60 day feed to weight ratio of fattening sheep in the 0 g/t composite lactic acid bacteria group were significantly higher than those in the 100 g/t composite lactic acid bacteria group and 150 g/t composite lactic acid bacteria group(P<0.05).2)The dry matter digestibility of the 100 g/t composite lactobacillus group and the 150 g/t composite lactobacillus group was significantly higher than that of the 0 g/t composite lactobacillus group(P<0.05),while the crude protein and acid washing fiber digestibility of the 50 g/t composite lactobacillus group,100 g/t composite lactobacillus group, and 150 g/t composite lactobacillus group were significantly higher than that of the 0 g/t composite lactobacillus group(P<0.05).3)The live weight and carcass weight of fattening sheep in the 100 g/t composite lactobacillus group and 150 g/t composite lactobacillus group were significantly higher than those in the 0 g/t composite lactobacillus group(P<0.05),and the eye muscle area of fattening sheep in the 100 g/t composite lactobacillus group was significantly higher than that in the 0 g/t composite lactobacillus group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compound lactic acid bacteria can improve the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, and slaughter performance of fattening sheep.Considering the economic benefits of feeding, the appropriate amount of compound lactic acid bacteria added is 100 g/t.
