Effects of different ratios of fructo-oligosaccharides on growth performance and apparent digestibility of pigs
In order to study the effects of fructo-oligosaccharides on growth performance and apparent nutrient digestibility of pigs,200 healthy pigs were selected as the research object, and four treatments were designed, with 5 repeats in each group, and 10 in each replicate. The experimental group was fed with basal diet with 0.1%,0.5%and 1%fructo-oligosaccharides respectively for 40 days. The results showed that the addition of fruit oligosaccharides had no significant effect on the feed intake of pigs, but significantly increased the average daily gain and decreased the feed gain ratio and diarrhea rate of pigs.Compared with the control group, the average daily gain of pigs supplemented with 0.1%,0.5%and 1%fruit oligosaccharides increased by 9%,24%and 23%,respectively,and the feed gain ratio decreased by 9%,20%and 19%,respectively(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the diarrhea rate decreased significantly. At the same time, the digestive enzyme activity of jejunum of fattening pigs was significantly increased by adding different proportions of fructo-oligosaccharides,and the digestive enzyme activities of intestinal trypsin, lipase and amylase increased with the increase of adding proportion.however, the digestive enzyme activity of fattening pigs treated with 0.1%fruit oligosaccharides was not significantly different from that of the control group, and the intestinal digestive enzyme activity of fattening pigs treated with 1%fruit oligosaccharides was the highest. Therefore, adding different ratios of fructo-oligosaccharides significantly increased the digestibility of dry matter, crude fiber and crude fat in pigs.compared with the control group, the digestibility of dry matter, crude fiber and crude fat in pigs treated with 0.5%and 1%fruit oligosaccharides increased by 9%to 10%,20%to 26%and 14%to 19%,respectively,but had no significant effect on the digestibility of crude ash and crude protein.Adding 0.5%of fructo-oligosaccharides to the diet could significantly increase the activity of intestinal digestive enzymes and increase the apparent digestibility of nutrients,so as to improve feed conversion and growth performance.
