Effect of liquorice polysaccharide on the growth, development and economic benefits of broilers
The experiment aims to investigate the effects of Glycyrrhiza polysaccharide(GPS)on the growth performance, immune function, and economic benefits of broiler chickens.120 male AA broiler chickens were selected for the experiment and randomly divided into 4 groups. Each group of broiler chickens was fed with glycyrrhizic polysaccharide on a basic diet of+0mg/kg(GPS0 group),300 mg/kg(GPSI group),600 mg/kg(GPSII group),and 900 mg/kg(GPSIII group). Each group had 3 replicates, with 10 chickens in each replicate. The experimental period was 42 days. The results showed that:(1)Compared with the GPS0 group, the GPSII group increased the final weight of broiler chickens by 10.10%(P<0.05),the GPSI group increased the average daily weight gain of broiler chickens by 7.10%(P<0.05),and the GPSII group increased the average daily weight gain of broiler chickens by 10.31%(P<0.05).2)Compared with the GPS0 group, the serum IgM content in the GPSII and GPSIII groups was significantly increased(P<0.05),while the serum IL-6 content in the GPSI,GPSII,and GPSIII groups was significantly increased(P<0.01).The serum IFN in the GPSII and GPSIII groups was also significantly increased(P<0.01)-γ The content significantly increased(P<0.05).3)The average daily fattening benefits of the four groups were 0.563,0.620,0.636,and 0.570 yuan/(piece·d),respectively,with the GPSII group having the highest economic benefits. In summary, glycyrrhizic polysaccharides can improve the growth performance, immune function, and economic benefits of broilers.Under the conditions of this experiment, the highest economic benefits were achieved when the addition level of glycyrrhizic polysaccharides was 600 mg/kg.
