Modification of attapulgite and its application in animal production
Attapulgite(APT)is a kind of hydrous magne sium-rich aluminosilicate clay with strong adsorption and ion exchange ability.After entering the animal intestine,it can cover the surface of the intestinal mucosa,protect the intestinal mucosa,reduce the contact with pathogenic bacteria and their toxins,improve the animal immune system and promote the growth of livestock and poultry.In this paper,the crystal structure,physical and chemical properties,modification methods and application in animal production of attapulgite were reviewed,aimed to provide references for the development of attapulgite and its application in animal production.
