Parasitic disease is one of the disease with the highest incidence rate and greatest harm in ruminant breeding.With the continuous development of animal husbandry,the non-standard and unreasonable use of insecticides in husbandry has led to the emergence or enhancement of drug resistance in some parasite.The excessive use of drugs forms accumulation and residue in animals,which also has a certain impact on the ecological environment and seriously threatens the healthy development of animal husbandry and public health safety.Traditional Chinese medicine is rich in variety,low toxicity,and high safety,providing new ways and ideas to solve the problem of parasite resistance.This article mainly discussed the current development status of antiparasitic traditional Chinese medicine,the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine against parasites,common antiparasitic traditional Chinese medicine,and collects traditional Chinese medicine formulas for the treatment of in vivo and in vitro parasitic diseases,aimed to provide a basis and reference for the research and development of ruminant parasitic disease drugs and feed.
